Summer Tutoring Wrap up

7/28/2015

Summer virtual tutoring went very well.  Our sessions were 90 minutes long in order to complete all parts of the  Wilson lessons.  My student was attentive through the whole lesson.  Since we were using the idroo app.  I had a lot of words prepared ahead of time so we were able to accomplish a lot more than I had expected.  I completed an informal reading inventory and was thrilled that my student was actively using strategies for decoding words, skipping the word and then going back and rereading, and chunking words.  He has been working on reading the whole word and not guessing this year, so this was great.  I am looking forward to hearing about how things go this fall.
